Cause : IE may show this behavior while updating skype for business/Lync presence on sharepoint contacts.

Fix 1 : If you dont care about the presence follow the below steps:

1. Go to run : type inetcpl.cpl to open internet option
                                   or
2. Open internet explorer click on tools>Internet options

3 Click on programs tab>Manage Add-ons

4. Select All add-ons under show option on the left bottom corner

5. Select  NamectrlClass and disable the add-on

Fix 2 : 

1. Click on start>Programs and features

2. Repair MS office

Error 1084: This service cannot be started in safe mode

Issue : Error 1084: This service cannot be started in safe mode. 

Symptoms : When you are getting this error message in normal mode with lots of services which do not run in normal mode.

Important : This solution is based on editing system registry so please create a registry beackup before you follow these steps.

Solution :

1. Click on start/run and in the open box type "regedit"
2. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option.
3. Delete "Option" Value if present.
4. Restart the computer.

Error "1317: An error occurred while attempting to create the directory while installing any software.
















Error "1317: An error occurred while attempting to create the directory.

Cause : You don't have permission on the folder.

Solution : Open windows explorer and navigate to the folder.

2. Right click on the folder and click on properties.

3. Click on security tab

4. Click on add button.

5. write "Everyone" in search object box and click on check now (make sure it find
everyone")

6. Click on OK and you will be back to security window.

7. Under permission for everyone select "full permission"

8. Click on "apply" and "OK" .

Now again try to install software. It should work

A Program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internet Explorer (IE 8)

SOLUTION:

Make sure that you have taken Registry back before changing the value.
1. Make sure IE 8 is closed then navigate to registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
2. Add a new “Expandable String value” inside the above mentioned key with a value name of “AppData” and a value data of “%USERPROFILE%\Application Data”.
3. If you find LocalAppData in User Shell Folder just delete it.
4. Reopen IE 8 and see if you still get the error

Unable to uninstall Flash Player

Note : This article will describe how to uninstall Flash player from the computer.

Download and use the Flash Player uninstaller tool to remove the flash player completly.

1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:
* Windows: uninstall_flash_player.exe (205 KB) (updated 02/11/2010)
* Mac OS X, version 10.4 and above: uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg (338 KB)
(updated 10/09/09)
* Mac OS X, version 10.3 and below: uninstall_flash_player_osx_10.2.dmg (1.3 MB)
(updated 05/27/08)
• Mac OS 8.x, 9.x: uninstall_flash_player.hqx (33 KB)
2. Save the file to your system, choosing a location where you can find it (for
example, your desktop). Macintosh users may need to open or unstuff the .hqx
file.
3. Quit ALL running applications, including all Internet Explorer or other
browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, or
other Messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no
applications are still in memory which might possibly use Flash Player.
4. Run the uninstaller. This will remove Adobe Flash Player from all browsers on
the system.

Note : Please close all applications running on internet explorer before running
uninstaller
